this video is of a short film called trains & paper planes that was entered in the virgin media shorts competition 2012. What i like about this film is its simple story line that is easy to follow and understand what is going on despite the fact that there is no dialog. From the beginning of the film you can clearly see a connection between the films title and subject matter as the location of the filming and props used both feature in the title. In this film a wide variety of shots and camera angels are used to create a professional and well presented effect. One of the particular shots i like is the opening scene that helps establish both the location and one of the key characters straight away, Another thing i like about this scene is you will notice as the male character walks across the screen the films title appears to be behind him and remains there until he sits down, this is unlike conventional films as credits usually appear over the top of the action not part of it. One thing i would say is that the plot line is not very original as you may notice similarity's between this short film and a tv advert featured in 2011
