Short Film Research: The Elevator

This is a simple, 3 minute short film. Whilst watching this short film, some key aspects are how the beginning, climax and punch line (in this case, as it's a comedy) are all swiftly connected in such a short space of time. It begins with just one environment, and a small one at that. Then the climax is introduced through the idea of what happens in lifts that we experience in real life. It then ends in the same environment with a twist which is simple yet unexpected. Though there are a lot of characters and extras within this short film, we know who the main character is as he's constantly positioned within the middle of every shot. This is a simple way to keep the main character as the main focus.
